The parents of Humaira “Asghar, found dead in Defence Phase 6, deny claims of estrangement and suspect foul play. They demand a transparent investigation to uncover the truth behind their daughter’s tragic death.
Humaira’s father said, “Humaira was the youngest and most beloved child in our family. She had a deep interest in the arts, which is why I personally allowed her to enter showbiz. When she moved to Karachi, it was with my consent and prayers.”
He added, “I used to personally drop her off at university. I was informed about her death by my nephew while I was at my clinic. It is wrong to say we didn’t receive her body—how could we take the body before the post-mortem?”

He expressed strong suspicions about her death: “The condition in which her body was found indicates it was not an accident. She appeared to have been killed and thrown into a storeroom, whose doors were locked from the outside. Even her initial mobile SIM cards were deactivated—this cannot all be a coincidence.”
“We Found Out Through TV News” – Mother in Shock
Humaira’s mother shared her emotional turmoil: “We learned about her death through TV news. Since then, I’ve been under extreme mental stress.”
She continued, “We were already deeply worried for days because we had lost contact with her. We had no close relatives in Karachi who could check on her.”
She recalled the last conversation with her daughter at the end of August 2024: “During our last talk, I told her about the death of our housemaid. She became very upset and cried, saying, ‘Ammi, I’m very disturbed. There’s no one here to support me. My SIM cards have also been blocked.’ After that, her number remained off.”
“I called her several times but got no response,” the mother said. “Every day I asked my husband to find out what had happened to her. We couldn’t even reach her during Eid.”
Family Demands Transparent Investigation
Humaira Asghar’s parents have demanded a full and transparent investigation into the incident so the truth can emerge and justice can be served.
